Sunnyview Gets Ready for Fall!
Sunnyview employees and residents have been very busy this month getting ready for fall this year and the upcoming holidays! As the holidays are approaching a lot of things are in the works! Some fun things coming up include:
Sunnyview plans to participate in the Missouri Day parade on October 21st . Our oldest residents at Sunnyview Nursing Home ‘Marjorie Olson’-101 years old and ‘Dorothy Fries’- 100 years old plan to attend the parade in the Sunnyview transportation van.
Sunnyview will be participating in the trick or treat at the rock barn held on October 30th from 6p-730p. Sunnyview employees with be dressed as the elderly and two of our residents will be dressed as nurses. We will be passing candy out to all the kids of Trenton dressed in their Halloween costumes.
Sunnyview residents will be passing candy at the facility on Halloween night starting at 6pm! With the help from families donating bags of candy it has made this one of the residents favorite times of the year as they love to see all the kids in Trenton all dressed up in their costumes.
Sunnyview has been working hard decorating the facility for fall. Decorations have been scattered all throughout the nursing home, both the nurses stations are competing to see who can decorate the ‘best’ for the holidays. And with the help of Trenton Hyvee and Barnes Greenhouse; Sunnyview was able to decorate the outside of Sunnyview this year as they donated 10 mums and 5 pumpkins. Residents will be painting pumpkins soon to add to our amazing decorations.
Sunnyview Fundraiser committee is planning a ‘Hunters Breakfast’ for the hunting season this year on November 11th from 3am-6am at the front door of the facility. We will be serving biscuits and gravy, hot coffee, and orange juice. All money raised from this will be for the employees Christmas party.
Sunnyview has scheduled a blood drive with Red Cross on December 1st from 1230pm-430pm. This is made to the public to come in and donate as well! To schedule an appointment for this please call the nursing home.
