Sarah Joe and Tom Brown Sunnyview Scholarship

Phyllis Jackson; President of the Sunnyview Foundation Board; announced a scholarship opportunity from the request of the Sarah Brown estate through the foundation. This will allow scholarships to the employees at Sunnyview Nursing Home & Apartments to continue their education at North Central Missouri College in Trenton, MO.

Sunnyview currently has 8 employees enrolled in the nursing programs at North Central Missouri College. 4 of those employees are in the RN program; Nikki Martin, Kylie Brown, Dayanaria Allnutt, and Cassidy Waddle and 4 employees are in the LPN program; Vanessa Smith, Shelley Price, Faith Kiptoo, and Raven Moreno. Sunnyview also has 6 additional employees enrolled at NCMC.

Phyllis states β€œThe philosophy is to promote employees within the labor pool and that education is the method for that upward movement.”

The foundation board encourages other community members, family members, and estate planning providers to also consider donating to this scholarship fund to allow more employees at Sunnyview Nursing Home & Apartments to be aided in furthering their education. Scholarships that support student success through the duration of the rigorous programs are especially important. Helping a student realize their dream and providing financial relief will greatly increase the outcome of their accomplishments.
